Welcome to my new look website, hope you like it!!!

I came to line dancing a few years back, when a good friend of mine suggested we give it a try. I was very dubious of this suggestion and absolutely convinced that this was going to be a case of one of those 'well that's another fine mess you've got me into' moments. Sure that we were in for a night of bad dancing, yeeha's and Stetsons I agreed to go along (just to humour her of course!) to a local line dance class - the Ponderosa Stompers in Abertillery. The only mishap of the evening, being the fact that we got the time of the beginners class wrong and we had actually arrived at the intermediate class, (soon realising this when attempting to join in with Black Betty!).

I was pleasantly surprised to see line dancing is not at all like its stereotype, that it in fact offers a very diverse range of styles and skills, and that people from all walks of life can join in. We received such a warm welcome and so much help, that I was soon addicted. Its a great form of exercise, I have met many lovely people, made some great friends, had many hours of thorough enjoyment - and you don't need a partner. So no excuses - anyone can join in!!
